Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga said he longs to return to Saint Lucia, describing the small Caribbean nation as a “paradise of sorts”.
He said this in a Facebook post on Wednesday as he shared a breathtaking view from his hotel room.
As presidential spokesman, Onanuga is part of President Bola Tinubu’s entourage on a state visit to Saint Lucia.
He said, “This morning, I awoke in my hotel room at Windjammer to the breathtaking beauty of Saint Lucia unfolding before me – lush greenery of swaying palms and trees, charming houses nestled in hills, and the shimmering blue expanse of the Caribbean Sea in the distance.
“As I captured the moment, the melodic chirping of birds harmonised perfectly with my video, as if nature was relishing the scene.
“Saint Lucia is a paradise of sorts, where pristine landscapes and the rain forest remain largely untouched – a spectacle unmistakable on the journey from the airport to Castries, the capital.
“It’s a place that lingers in one’s heart, and to which I long to return.”
