The official investiture ceremony of the 19th president and board of directors of Rotary Club of Ojodu will hold on Saturday, September 30, 2023 in Lagos.The new officers will pilot the club’s affairs for the next rotary year, July 2023 to June 2024.
The club will be installing a female president, Florence Ijeoma Nwosu.
“Rotary Club of Ojodu has impacted its community to the fullest in the past and it’s still doing so. Our impact have been felt through so many projects which we have executed,” they said.
Chairman of the installation committee, Evans Ikpunuekhai, and the club’s public image chair, Ezenwa Opara, in a press release they jointly signed promised that the club will carry out more activities to empower indigent persons in the community.
The investiture ceremony will serve as a fund-raiser, enabling the club to generate fund to execute more projects in addition to what it did in its previous years.
Part of the activities lined up for the installation ceremony include a pre-installation dinner and a lecture titled, “Religion and tribalism in Nigeria – The role to play,” to be delivered by Dr. Emmanuel Agu.
They described Ijeoma Nwosu as a woman who embodies the essence of a true leader, passionate for humanity, with a strong moral compass, an inspiring presence and the business insight necessary to navigate the complexities of the corporate world of event management.
