Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr is now swimming in cash, thanks to the Super Eagles early qualification for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
A competent NFF source disclosed exclusively to Saturday Sunsports yesterday that Rohr was early this week paid five months salary upfront by his employers as a way of saying thank you to him for a job well done during the on going qualifiers.
“As we speak, Rohr has been credited with a five-month pay. His salary has been paid until February next year.
The NFF wants him to concentrate on the task ahead now that the World Cup ticket has been secured,” our source said.
It would be noted that the NFF at its Annual General Assembly in Jos on Thursday vowed to ensure that bonus row that has always trailed Nigeria’s World Cup participation does not rear its ugly head in Russia.
Rohr, had on his part warned that money issues are the only thing that could stop his team from shocking the world in Russia.
“The Board resolved to ensure that negotiations with the players with regards to World Cup bonuses are firmly concluded and agreement signed before the end of this year, for the sake of stable preparations and credible participation at the World Cup finals without any distractions,” were the words of NFF after her meeting in Jos.
