Rights activist, Ajimotokin Bankole, has advised President Bola Tinubu to reshuffle his cabinet and select more competent ministers to address the challenges currently facing Nigeria.

Bankole, who gave the advice recently in an interview with journalists, expressed hope in the President’s capacity to deliver the best for Nigerians, but said the efforts might be challenged because of some people in his cabinet.

“We voted for President Bola Tinubu to become Nigeria’s president simply because of our confidence in him.

“We saw his capacity as a former governor of Lagos State, and other things he did after his tenure as governor.

“We are convinced that he is still the same person with the same capabilities, but he may need to reshuffle his cabinet with competent and patriotic elements to have complete success.”

Ajimotokin also spoke on the suffering in the land, and appealed to the President to act quickly, as things are becoming unbearable for the masses.

“We appeal to President Tinubu to urgently respond to the cries of the people because things are becoming unbearable for the masses. No one will deny the fact that things are degenerating on a daily basis. Our security system needs serious attention and prices of food are skyrocketing. Low-income earners cannot cope anymore.

“People’s salary cannot address their basic necessities and this is indeed frustrating. We still believe very strongly in the capacity of the President to address this present situation without forcing the poor masses to recklessness.”
