The 12th edition of Reconnect Abuja once again proved to be the biggest fashion and food festival at the Federal Capital Territory.

Having successfully hosted 11 different editions that allowed fashion and food vendors to display their products; the organisers of Reconnect Abuja raised the bar this year by introducing a runway event where selected designers showcased their collections. There were about eight selected fashion brands that graced the runway with exotic designs, but Tos & Co Clothing took the spotlight with its ‘The Daily Woman’ collection.

A careful compilation of beautiful designs that are well interpreted into elegant styles, The Daily Woman collection features a good blend of varying fabrics, showcasing the diversity in the brand’s approach to have a mixture of patterns and colours that balance the looks of every woman.

Tos & Co Clothing also dedicated each fabric to specific designs to let people see the versatility that each fabric could manifest when beautifully crafted. Fabrics like Ankara, Kampala, Aso-oke and Adire were used to pay tribute to the beauty of Nigerian women, while eco-friendly materials like cotton and satin were used to create luxury dresses that would make every woman a center of attention at big events.

A graceful thing to note was how Tos & Co Clothing chose a variety of models whose height, complexion and size aligned with each design. It was adorable to see the brand give plus-size models the platform to shine. There is no doubt that the brand’s in-house stylist and product developer worked together to make sure that at least each design in the collection appealed to everyone.

Tos & Co Clothing’s attempt at elevating its designs with simple fashion accessories and trimmings was equally a hit. The fashion house ticked boxes for creativity, cleanliness, skill, quality and delivery. If all participating designers were to be scored, it’s certain that Tos & Co Clothing would come tops. But then in the absence of judges, feedback from the audience was positive and encouraging.

While introducing the collection, the founder/creative director of Tos & Co Clothing, Oluwatobi Sobanke, highlighted how they arrived at each design, summarily stating that inspiration for the collection was tapped from nature, rich Nigerian culture, lifestyles of different generations of women, and her knack for fashion trends.

Commenting, a guest at the event said Tos & Cos should start thinking of hosting its fashion show after having “a good outing with designs so unique.”
