She said for event managers to attain a certain level in the industry, “they have to be open minded, be good listeners who are ready to interpret porous ideas, have passion for events and should have a positive mindset towards taking risk.
“Let me give you an example,” she said: ‘We just got back from South Africa for a pageant I coordinated, “Little mr and miss Africa Nigeria“ The winner from Nigeria, to represent Nigeria in the Little Mr And Mrs Africa” Johannesburg, you can imagine bearing the risk of traveling with kids without their parents Internationally.”
In addition, Adakole said while the experience is a huge advantage, it’s advised to have a professional education in event management to deepen one’s knowledge of the events industry.
When asked why the blend of profession, she said: ”I am multi talented and find it convenient to multitask. Would not limit myself to doing just one thing, of course you know that it’s a crime not to have multiple sources of income in our present day economy.”
She said she does not stay glued to just one pattern but always evolves with the trends in the industry and event management, pointing out that “one thing that is constant in life is change, as a business you have to always re-invent your brand to follow the latest trends.”
Not leaving her team behind, Queen Adakole also said: “I have an amazing team in the company that see to the day to day smooth operations, manage our social media, and also manage my talent, so that I can focus on executing different task while other areas of the business area professionally managed.”
However, Queen Adakole is about to premiere her Web series titled: “My Wahala” staring Aaron Sunday, Adah Okoro and Helen Samuel and herself. The premiere is slated for June 2023.
