The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Anambra State, Senator Andy Uba has described purposeful leadership as a remedy for societal development challenges.

Uba, who also represents the people of Anambra South Senatorial district at the National Assembly, spoke at the weekend while celebrating Anglican Bishop on the Niger, Rev. Owen Nwokolo who marked his 50th birthday at the Basilica of St. Andrew Odoakpu, Onitsha, Anambra State.

Using Bishop Nwokolo’s footprints in serving the church and the nation, Uba said what Nigeria needs currently  are committed leaders who are desirous of changing the society positively through actions geared towards public good as opposed to selfish interests.

He said with Bishop Nwokolo’s a golden landmark in service to God and humanity, there is hope that with more people like him, the  society will experience a lot more transformation and positive conscientisation.

The golden jubilee celebration also doubled as the second session of the third Synod and Book launch .
