Prophet Sam Olu Alo, the Planter of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, has condemned the killing of two traditional rulers in Ekiti State, the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsakin and the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Samuel Olushola.

The man of God also commiserated with the bereaved families, the people of Esun and Imojo-Ekiti, the Governor of the state, Biodun Oyebanji, the Chairman, Ekiti Council of Taditional Rulers and the Olojudo of Ido-Ekiti, Oba Ayorinde Ilori- Faboro and other monarchs in the state, and the entire people of the state.

The renowned prophet who described the killing as unfortunate said it is saddening that some agents of darkness are keen on endangering the peaceful status of Ekiti State and creating undue fear and tension.

Prophet Olu Alo, in a statement by his Personal Assistant, Deji Ogunbusuyi, said the perpetrators of the heinous crime must be fished out and brought to justice.

“The gruesome murder of these royal fathers is condemnable, unacceptable, barbaric and painful despite government and Council of traditional rulers’ efforts at ensuring that lives and properties of citizens are well protected from marauders.

“Those that carried out this heinous act must be unmasked to face the full wrath of the law and to serve as deterrent to others.

“I pray God grants the deceased eternal rest ; gives their families, communities and Ekiti State the fortitude to bear this colossal lost. God will expose the killers of these revered kings.”

The cleric who described the deceased monarchs as proactive and passionate about their subjects’ well-being, stressed that the duo were naturally endowed in all areas of human endeavours, saying they would be sorely missed.

The religious leader wished the Alara of Ara–Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Fatoba, God’s divine protection.

The two monarchs were ambushed and killed by gunmen along Oke-Ako road in Ikole Local Government Area of the state on Monday while returning from a meeting. The Alara of Ara-Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Fatoba, the third monarch in the scene of the attack narrowly escaped.
