In a significant move to address the growing demand for skilled tech talents, Product Ninjas, a leading product management community and training organization, has announced plans to train 1,000 new professionals in product management in the next three years “Tech enthusiasts will learn and gain hands-on experience by having access to how seasoned experts,” the Community’s Founder, Mr. Olanrewaju Bello said. 

 

He stated that those who had already been trained were selected based on a multi stage application process without financial means for such world class training; and from among those who had demonstrated a strong passion to gain tech skills. Bello added that training would be held virtually in order to attract people from all over the country and offers flexibility with the existing work schedules He stated, “Already, we have trained 425 people and they are doing very well.

Most of them now work in leading technology companies like Flutterwave, Interswitch, Piggy Vest while some of them now run their own startups “In a couple of days, we will begin training the new cohort of 50 persons. As we carry out the training, the emphasis is on core technical skills as well as soft skills and career graphics, content and art simplicity, among others,” the Product Ninja Founder added.

According to him, the community has secured strategic partnerships with leading companies including VentureTabs, Fast Forward Studio and One Pipe in a bid to solve the technology skill gap Bello added, “WIth the significant funding that has entered the Nigeria startup scene, there has been significant growth in the number of companies at the same time the need for tech talents to help these companies fulfill their dreams has become higher.
