From Desmond Mgboh, Kano
Chairman, New Nigeria Peoples Party in Kano State, Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa, has expressed confidence that his party’s s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, will defeat President Bola Tinunu in 2027.
Kwankwaso came fourth in the 2023 presidential polls behind Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.
Speaking to journalists yesterday in Kano, Dungurawa argued that the unpopular policies of President Tinubu has given Kwankwaso’s aspiration a great boost and made the journey a lot easier.
“With these harsh anti-masses policies, and your stance on them, just prepare for defeat in the next general elections. You either change them or we Nigerians together will change you.”
Dungurawa disclosed that his party had opened offices across the federation, stressing that the development is a reflection of its commitment to dislodge the APC.
Dungurawa cautioned the All Progressives Congress (APC) against the alleged plans to make the country a one-party system, saying it would fail.
He also advised the Federal Government to introduce policies that would alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians.
