Adieu Prof Humprey Nwosu
“Death is not the end of who we are . It is only a brief pause in the endless cycle of our lives”. By Fredrick lens an American spiritual leader and writer. Our paths first crossed each other when he, professor Humphrey Nwosu, professor Eme Awa and Professor Anya. O Anya stormed my office at Number 54 Obiagu road, Enugu, where l held sway as the Chief Correspondent of the National Concord newspaper. They had represented six others including the three physically present, totalling mine professors who were heads of various departments at the prestigious University, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. At the time they came in 1984, the State was originally known as Anambra state with capital in Enugu while the present day Anambra and Ebonyi States were merged under Anambra State until new states were created in …… National Concord now defunct, was one of the leading and most trusted newspaper in the state.
So the credibility of the Chief correspondent and that of the newspaper attracted many petitioners and fighters of corruption and mal administration in government circles and institutions . These petitioner’s including professor Humphrey Nwosu trust that justice would be done to the grevious petition they submitted for publication against the Vice Chancellor , professor Frank nwachukwu Ndili. A a Time when Muhammad Buhari and Tunde idiabo held sway in the country.(To be continued). .
