A 27-year-old man, Yusuf Ojo, has been arrested and arraigned in court by the police in Lagos after carting away three phones from his benefactor’s home in Iyana Iyesi area of Ogun State.

This is contained in a statement shared by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday.

According to the statement, RRS operatives apprehended Ojo, a suspected burglar, around 5:00 a.m. last Wednesday in Oshodi. He was on his way to dispose of three mobile phones belonging to his benefactor.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that Ojo burgled the home of one Michael at Iyana Iyesi, Ogun State around 12:00 am. when the victim and his family were asleep on Wednesday.

“It was further revealed that Ojo had earlier that very day collected money as assistance from the victim to enable him take care of himself.

“The suspect, after carting away three mobile phones was heading to Mushin to sell the mobile phones when police arrested him.

“Ojo has been charged to court,” the statement reads in part.
