Liverpool have been eliminated from the FA Cup, thanks to a shock 1-0 defeat at Plymouth Argyle on Sunday.
The Reds were big favourites to win the fourth-round tie.
But manager Arne Slot made ten changes to his starting lineup ahead of next week’s Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park.
Eight minutes after the interval, Plymouth were awarded a penalty after Harvey Elliott’s handball
Ryan Hardie stepped up to drill home the spot-kick in emphatic fashion.
Hardie almost added a second, but his shot was turned on to the post by Liverpool keeper Caoimhin Kelleher.
Liverpool applied some pressure in the final minutes, with keeper Conor Hazard save excellently from Diogo Jota, but Plymouth secured a historic victory under new manager Miron Muslic.
The Premier League leaders are currently only competing in three competitions, including the Carabao Cup, where they will face Newcastle United in the final next month.
