Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals, on Thursday, announced a fresh N15 reduction in the price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) (petrol).

Following the latest price adjustment, petrol from the refinery will now retail at N875 per litre in Lagos, N885 in the South West, and N895 in both the North West and North Central regions.

Consumers in the South East, South South, and North East will purchase the product at N905 per litre.

The new prices will be reflected across all of the refinery’s distribution partners, including MRS, AP (Ardova), Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde.

In a statement released yesterday, the refinery encouraged other marketers to align with its growing network, as a show of commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s Nigeria First policy, which promotes prioritising locally-produced goods and services.

Since the start of its operations, the Dangote refinery has implemented a series of price cuts aimed at delivering cost savings to Nigerians.

In February 2025, it reduced petrol prices twice, amounting to a total cut of N125 per litre. This was followed by a further reduction of approximately N45 per litre in April.

In addition to petrol, the refinery has slashed the prices of other essential products such as diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), making them more affordable for transportation, industrial, and domestic use.

Despite ongoing volatility in global crude oil prices, the company reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining price stability. “By refining petroleum products domestically at the world’s largest single-train refinery, we are proud to make a substantial contribution to Nigeria’s energy security, foreign exchange savings, and overall economic resilience—aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on addressing the nation’s economic challenges and improving the well-being of Nigerians. We are immensely grateful to His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, for making this possible through the commendable Naira-for-Crude Initiative, which has enabled us to consistently reduce the price of petroleum products for the benefit of all Nigerians,” it stated.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery also gave assurances of a steady supply of petroleum products, noting that it has sufficient reserves to meet domestic demand and export surplus volumes to bolster Nigeria’s foreign exchange earnings.
