Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, has inaugurated a campaign team to work for the victory of the party in Imo State in next year’s general elections
The team, christened Divine Mandate Movement, has its members drawn from 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State and is expected to mobilise support for all PDP candidates.
Anyanwu, while addressing the members of the campaign team, said the objective was to rescue the country from the alleged misrule of the All Progressives Congress ( APC).
The PDP scribe charged members of the team to ensure the party wins the presidential election in Imo, the three senatorial districts, 10 House of Representatives, 27 state assembly seats and ultimately regain control of the governorship seat in 2024.
“More than ever before, duty beckons on all of us, the almighty God has placed a divine task on your shoulders. We shall never surrender to oppressive forces, but remain firm mustering and marshalling out with highest sense of patriotism to secure the destiny of our people…”
Our mission is focused on massively mobilising for our presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, our vice presidential candidate, who is also our brother, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, our House of Representatives candidates, our senatorial candidates and state assembly candidates.”
Director general of Divine mandate Movement, Ngozi Ogbu, expressed the optimism that with the calibre of people in the campaign team, the organisation would achieve its objective.
