To deepen financial inclusion in Nigeria, PalmPay, a Fintech firm, has sustained its zero charges policy for customers while carrying out inter-bank transfers.
This feature, introduced earlier this year, enables users to make transfers to any bank within Nigeria without incurring any transaction fees.
PalmPay’s Managing Director, Chika Nwosu, highlighted the company’s commitment to providing seamless and cost-effective transactions.
“We are committed to ensuring smooth and easy transactions with our free transfer feature. This shows our dedication to providing accessible and affordable financial services to our over 30 million users and every Nigerian. We believe everyone should have access to affordable financial services,” he stated.
Nwosu noted that PalmPay aims to drive economic empowerment in Nigeria by offering a variety of top-tier financial products, including money transfers, bill payments, credit services, and savings, all accessible through its app and mobile money agents.
According to him, Users can send and receive money effortlessly, pay bills with ease, shop conveniently, and earn discounts and cashback on transactions.
“By eliminating transfer fees, PalmPay empowers its millions of customers to perform endless fund transfers to family and friends, manage their finances more effectively, and pay their bills seamlessly. This initiative underscores PalmPay’s commitment to driving financial inclusion and economic empowerment in Africa”, he said.
Since its launch in Nigeria in 2019 under a Mobile Money Operator license, PalmPay has grown to over 30 million app users.
