….. as gov vows to uphold charter of equity

All the President Generals in the Imo East senatorial zone under the aegis of the Owerri Zone Forum of President Generals(OZFPG) has congratulated Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu for emerging the new President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide.
Rising from its meeting on Monday, the forum which also commended the apex Igbo social cultural organisation for chosen Iwuanyanwu who is from Owerri zone to replace professor George Obiozor has equally queue behind the charter of equity already laid down by the Imo elders to allow Governor Hope Uzodimma take a second tenure while the zone takes over from him in that order.
Explaining reasons for its decision in a communique read by its secretary, Placid Eberendu,the forum noted thus “We make this resolution, cognizance of the good works our governor has recorded in the areas of road infrastructural development, tertiary education and medicare, inland water ways development and in drastically reducing insecurity in Imo state”.
The forum which has adopted the Chief Technical Adviser to the governor,Jerry Chukwueke as its patron also noted that the position of the governor of Imo state in 2027 should be zoned to Owerri zone which choice will also be determined by equity”.
Meanwhile, Governor Uzodimma has vowed to keep to the agreement of the Charter of equity as proposed by the elders in the State.
The governor who made the vow on Sunday during a church service at the Government House Chapel,Owerri maintained that with the charter of equity in operation, the political class would spend less seeking for positions and reduces acrimony.
