Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu has said that Abia Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, will not win a second term.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain also said it would be the last time that Labour Party (LP) would rule the state.
Kalu, who represents the Bende federal constituency of Abia State, said this in a video shared on social media.
The Deputy Speaker said he would not be the nation’s number 6 citizen while another party rules his state.
“This will be the last time that a Labour governor will govern Abia State.
“The next governor of Abia State will be APC. I say this without mincing words,” he said.
He said he has told Otti privately and publicly that an APC governor would take over from him in 2027.
“How it will happen, I don’t know but I know it will happen,” Kalu said.
The federal lawmaker said he is confident of victory because the APC is working hard.
