Juventus continues to consider Super Eagles ace, Victor Osimhen as its primary transfer target to strengthen the attack this summer.
The club’s Football Director, Cristiano Giuntoli, was the one who first brought the 26-year-old to Serie A during his time at Napoli and is eager to reunite with his former player in Turin.
Currently, Osimhen is enjoying a successful loan season at Galatasaray, but he is expected to move on to bigger opportunities this summer.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Il Bianconero, Juventus is working to entice Osimhen to Continassa, despite the challenges involved. Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis would be reluctant to sell his top striker to arch-rival, Juventus.
The Bianconeri may attempt to activate the player’s release clause by offering €75 million, although this remains a substantial sum. Juventus could look to raise funds by selling some of their players, and securing Champions League football will be crucial in this regard.
Additionally, the pink newspaper reveals that Juventus is monitoring four alternative options, starting with Serie A top goalscorer Mateo Retegui. However, dealing with Atalanta is often complex, particularly when it comes to acquiring in-form players.
Osimhen’s compatriot, Victor Boniface, has also emerged as a potential target. The 24-year-old played a key role in Bayer Leverkusen’s successful 2023/24 campaign, but injuries have hindered his momentum this season.
