Galatasaray’s on-loan striker, Victor Osimhen may not be extending his stay with the Turkish Super Lig leaders.
The 26-year-old Osimhen’s future has been the subject of intense speculations, amid interest from England, Italy and Spain.
The Nigerian striker scored 76 goals and provided 12 assists in 133 appearances at Napoli, helping the Italian side win their first Serie A title in 33 years during the 2022/23 season.
Since joining Galatasaray on loan in 2024, he has scored
29 goals and provided six assists in just 33 appearances across all competitions.
The former African Footballer of the Year, who is contracted to Napoli, has been linked to Premier League sides, Chelsea and Manchester United.
Italian giants, Juventus are also said to be interested in his signature, just as Real Madrid are understood to view him as the ideal replacement for Vinicius Junior, who has been linked to a big-money move to the Saudi Pro League.
“Galatasaray will always be in my heart,” Osimhen told NTV.
“There are always rumours about me, I think about the present. I am enjoying this moment; the fans always support me. At the right time, the best decision for everyone will be made.”
Galatasaray have expressed strong interest in keeping the Nigerian striker longer in Turkiye.
While the the Super Lig leaders could cough out Osimhen’s €75m release clause, the player’s €11m per year wage demand is beyond the club, Football Transfers reports.
