In-form Super Eagles talisman, Victor Osimhen has been recognised as the top scorer of away goals in the Turkish Super Lig.
He once again showcased his value to Galatasaray by scoring a crucial goal in the team’s 2-1 victory over Alanyaspor on Sunday. This marked Osimhen’s 17th goal in the Super Lig, along with 4 assists in 21 matches for Galatasaray, making him the league’s second-highest scorer as he chases the Golden Boot.
According to OptaCan, a statistical analysis service for players in the Turkish Super Lig, Osimhen has scored the most away goals in the league this season. Notably, he has reached double figures for away goals for the first time since the 2022/23 season, when he netted 14 goals with Napoli.
The Nigerian also became the player who earned the most points for his team in the Super League, scoring 17 goals and earning 20 points for Galatasaray.
Currently, Osimhen’s market value is estimated at €75 million. He has played in 29 matches across three competitions for Galatasaray, totalling 2,213 minutes on the pitch, during which he has scored 23 goals and provided 5 assists.
