Organizers of the annual JOF U-13 football competition, has highlighted plans ahead of the 2025 and 6th edition billed to kick-off April 27 at UNILAG Sports Complex, Lagos. 

This plans was rolled out by Director of Strategic Support Service, JOF Nigeria Limited, Adeyinka Adetunji. The grand finale will see Strong Dove of Orile Iganmu engage First Class FC of Lagos Island in the third place match which will kick-off before the final duel involving B.Unit Boys of Surulere and Versity Boys of Lagos Island.

Speaking at the media parley staged yesterday, April 10, Adetunji disclosed all hands are on deck to ensure the competition supersede previous editions. He however applauded the Lagos State Grassroots Football Association who’s initiative and passion inspired the tourney to an enviable height.

Adetunji further revealed multiple sponsors are in offings to show support while he unfolded monetary reward, individual awards and coveted trophies will be tabled for winners.

We’ll continue to sponsor the tournament in order to contribute to the development of grassroots football in the country. “We will not relent on our sponsorship but will continue to uplift the game of football in the country. We have also approached other sponsors in our bid to ensure the kids have a memorable day.”

‘ The motive behind the sponsorship is not about monetary gains but about the development of the game and the players. The fourth place team will go home with N250, 000 while the third place team will receive N350, l000 with a trophy and the second place team will receive N500, 000 and a trophy while overall winner will go home with a giant trophy and N750, 000. Let me also remind you we have monetary reward for best goalie, highest goal scorer and most valuable player”, said Adetunji.
