It was a special Christmas for the late Deborah Emmanuel’s family in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. That day, Omega Power Ministries (OPM), led by Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, celebrated with the family.
The Emmanuels were given a giant hamper, a bag of rice produced by OPM Farm and a cash gift of N100,000.
Deborah, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was murdered by fellow students over alleged blasphemy against Islam.
After the incident in Sokoto, the church has shown love and care to the family. OPM relocated the whole family to Port Harcourt.
Furthermore, the church put all the children in the OPM free school, sent the elder brother overseas on university scholarship and moved them from their thatched house in the North to a well-furnished two bedroom flat in Port Harcourt.
The church also donated a 14-bedroom block of flats to them to put up for rent and collect the money after opening a bank account for the parents.
OPM equally opened a high-standard restaurant, furnished with standby generator, deep freezer, television, etc, where th Emmanuels employed four staff to work for them.
The church also bought a car for Deborah’s father to use for taxi business in the city. He comforted them with the Bible verse of James 1:12, ‘Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial, because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown.’
The church said: “So because Deborah stood by her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, God decided to completely change the history of her family so she will be happy in heaven seeing the transformation in her family, which has made poverty to end in their lives. So, they should keep holding on to Jesus Christ and He will never abandon you.”
