Fast rising highlife singer and newly signed DeepWell Entertainment act, Chukwudera Okoye aka Oodera an indigene of Nri in Anocha LGA of Anambra state is dreaming big!
Currently in the studio working day and night in order to take his career to the next level as he wraps up work on his debut EP, the graduate of Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) said recently that his first body of work is expected to be out by March 2021.
He said: “I was influenced into music by the likes of Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and Oristz Wiliki among a host of others. My style of music is the usual Igbo highlife concoction but with a touch of soul. I love music naturally, I have always wanted to do music and I have written more than 30 songs. Music is in my blood. My first collection which will come in the form of an EP is already in the works and it is expected to be released by March 2021 and thereafter, I will be doing more singles and featuring other musicians.”
Added Oodera: “My songs are consciously inspired for the pleasure of listeners. I believe my sound and message sets me apart. You can’t hear an Oodera song without it passing a very conscious message about unity and love. I believe we are nothing without our brothers and sisters and as such, we should treat each other as we would want to be treated,” he concluded.
