The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ekiti South Senatorial District,  Senator Abiodun Olujimi and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Bamisile, have described the conduct of Saturday poll as very peaceful.

Olujimi who voted at unit 7 ward 7 Iworo quarters, Ekiti East Local Government Area of Ekiti State, said apart from the orderly conduct of the poll, there was impressive turnout of voters.

She pointed out that information available from across her senatorial district indicated that the exercise was generally peaceful except  in some isolated places and commended the Independence National Electoral Commission.

The candidate of the APC, Hon. Bamisile at his Kota home town, Ekiti East Local Government, expressed satisfaction at the conduct of the exercise, explaining that with the smooth conduct of the exercise the country democracy is progressing.

Bamisile, while expressing confidence on the success of his political party, explained that the security personnel put in place during the election were not enough in some areas. He called on the federal government to ensure the deployment of more security personnel in future elections.
