Old students of Sonmonri Comprehensive High School, Ifako Ijaiye, Lagos State, 1984 set,  have renovated the school’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centre and donated a N27 million equipment.

Once a modest facility struggling to keep up with technological advancements, the ICT centre has undergone a significant transformation.

The project included structural improvements, modern interior design, and the installation of the latest technological tools.

The revitalized center now boasts of cutting-edge computers, high-speed internet, solar electricity supply, interactive whiteboards, and various other technological aids designed to enhance the learning experience for current and future students.

Driven by a shared vision, the alumni aimed to provide the current students with the resources and opportunities necessary to excel in an increasingly digital world.

Recognizing the importance of ICT in modern education, they believed that updating the center was crucial for preparing students to meet the demands of the 21st century.

Alumni president, Mr. Adeniyi Adedeji spoke passionately about the project, saying, “When we were students here, we didn’t have access to the kind of technology that’s available today. We wanted to give back to our school and ensure that the current students have every opportunity to succeed. This renovated ICT center is just the beginning.”
