Opeyemi Olaotomo, who recently emerged the most beautiful girl in Oodua states – Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Ekiti – has expressed delight over the feat achieved at the pageantry completion which took place in Ile Ife.
The 300-level of Crown Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, emerged tops at the Miss Oodua beauty contest hosted in Ile Ife by Olokun Festival Foundation, headed by Aare Gani Adams.
The queen, who represented Akure at the competition, said she was overjoyed by the outcome of the completion.
“I honestly did not see it coming. I was praying to, at least, come second or third and be among the best but, somehow, God has other plans as I emerged the number one. I felt like jumping up to kiss the stars at the time. It was not an easy journey for all of us. I feel proud to place first in an event involving six states in the South West region. It’s like a dream and I give all the glory to God.”
