To hold public hearing on 14 March

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, the leading Igbo sociocultural organisation, has invited state chapters, affiliates, Igbo communities around the world, and people with backgrounds in community development, governance, and law to submit memoranda outlining changes, ideas, and suggestions to improve the body’s efficacy and inclusivity.
The organisation has fixed 14 March 2025 for a public hearing.
The Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, His Excellency Emeka Sibeudu, in a terse press statement at the weekend, said that the inputs of all Ndigbo have become necessary as the constitution of the apex body is currently undergoing a review.
The statement read, “The Constitution of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide is currently undergoing review. As part of this process, we invite all Igbos to submit memoranda proposing amendments, suggestions, and ideas to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of our organization. To ensure inclusivity, we encourage submissions from various stakeholders, including: State Chapters, Affiliates, Igbo communities worldwide, Individuals with expertise in governance, law, and community development.”
It further directed that memoranda should be submitted between 1st March and 12th March. “A public hearing will be held on 14th March in Imo State, providing an opportunity for further discussion, clarification, and input. We value your contributions and look forward to receiving your valuable inputs. Your participation will help shape the future of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.”
