The Coalition of Ogun State Students and Youths (COSSY) has lauded the state governor, Prince. Adedapo Abiodun for his impact on humanity, particularly within the youth and student constituency, as he celebrates his 65th birthday, which also coincides with his sixth anniversary in office.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, and signed by its National Convener, Comrade Oladimeji Uthman, the coalition said Abiodun’s unique brand of leadership is reflected in his ability to pilot the affairs of the state.
“On behalf of the Coalition of Ogun Students and Youths (COSSY), I extend our warmest birthday wishes to you on this special day.
“It is with great pleasure that we take this opportunity to celebrate not only your birthday but also your continuous dedication and support towards the youth and student community in our dear state,” Uthman said.
The COSSY Convener maintained that the governor’s relentless efforts in promoting education and students’ involvement have not gone unnoticed, noting that through various initiatives, Abiodun has prioritised the development and growth of educational institutions in Ogun State, providing the state’s youths with the resources they need to excel academically.
“Your administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for youths and students’ engagement is commendable.
“Your continuous support for extracurricular activities, competitions, and programmes has allowed the youths to discover their talents, develop their skills, and foster a sense of camaraderie amongst themselves.
“Mr. Governor, your leadership has instilled a sense of responsibility and patriotism in the heart of our youth.
“They have become enthusiastic participants in community outreach programmes, volunteering their time and efforts for the betterment of our society.”
Uthman stressed that this engagement has enhanced a sense of pride and belonging, ultimately shaping the future leaders of Ogun State.
