The former British and Commonwealth light heavyweight boxing champion, Peter Oboh, has urged the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to come to the rescue of the Palestinian returnees in Gaza.

Oboh, who recently played host to his UK-based junior sister, Mrs. Angela Jorgenson and her macho husband, Mr. Chris Jorgenson at a 5-star venue in VGC, Lagos, said: “When it seems okay for us, our joy cannot be complete spiritually unless it is okay for the needy as well. I plead with the newly elected American President, Mr. Donald Trump to remember the Gaza Palestinian returnees who are homeless and have nowhere to go.”

The boxer-turned cleric further stated: “To be realistic, to return to destroyed homes and dead bodies of loved ones could be traumatic. This, including challenges of starvation, ill health and homelessness could be burdensome unless influential politicians like Donald Trump and other Western leaders, and also some rich Arabs come together in love to help them. Anything short of this, there will be no hope for their survival.

“A favourite adage says, ‘As the right hand is washing the left hand, the left hand is also washing the right’. The way Ukraine and Israel get aids should be the same way humanitarian aids get to the needy in Gaza.”
