Nigerian lawyer and politician, Oba Mekunu Owolabi Salis has congratulated the Nigerian-born Kemi Badenoch on her emergence as the new leader of the Conservative Party in Britain.

Salis who is also the first black African to travel to the frigid zone of the North and South Pole, also congratulated King Charles of Britain, the British Prime Minister, Keir Stamer and the entire British community, describing the elevated attainment as a salutary symbol of the racial permissiveness of the larger collective of the entire British Society.

“That Kemi Badenoch from Nigeria and a lady for that matter, could ever attain such an elevated position in a foreign land as Britain, which eminently ranks among the three most formidable super powers on the global scene, is indeed a development that commend itself as a model for Nigeria to emulate, in order to forge a progressive departure from the tribal particularism and gender chauvinism, which among other syndromes of discriminations, continualy ravage the Nigerian society”, remarked the multi-award winning Attorney at Law, renowned scholar, author and public policy researcher.

He described the appointment as a major milestone achievement which has gone a long way to showcase the endemic genius pathologically rooted in the African genes and Nigerians in particular as one of the most richly endowed races in the world.

“It is pleasing to know that our own Kemi Badenoch was born and bred in Lagos, Nigeria and did not travel to stay

in the U.K. until she was 16 years. This implies that she spent the formative period of her life, which was the most important period that shapes both the future and character of the human being, considering the fact that it was biologically the most impressionable period of a man in life.

“Had it been that she was born and grew up in Britain one would have thought that she was only able to attain that height because she was born and bred there and also grew up there. This means that our own Kemi Badenoch was already made here in Nigeria ever before he traveled abroad.

He urged the youths to shun syndromes of self-defeatism and deeply embedded failure- induced-inferiority-complex that often impelled a good number of them to a short-circuited get-rich-quick criminalities like high-wire frauds, terrorism, Kidnapping and the likes and rather be fired by elevated visionary ideals of greatness such as has actuated the likes of Kemi Badenoch to the impressive height for which he was being celebrated.

“It is apparent more than ever before, particularly at this point in time, that the problem lies not in the person, but rather in the decadent socio-political order that chokes and stifles the expression of talents and endowments, which otherwise might have been harnessed for the overall benefit of the society and the nation as a whole”.

“Quite a lot of Kemi Badenochs and potential Kemi Badenochs abound in this country. Unfortunately, they exist as a nobody.Infact,if Badenoch herself had resided in Nigeria, it is doubtful whether she could ever emerge as chairman of a Ward let alone a local government”noted the popularly acclaimed motivational speaker, social critic and public affairs commentator.

“No wonder that the best brains are continually leaving the country in droves denuding their fatherland of talents which would have been harnessed towards the overall development of their fatherland,” Salis said.

Meanwhile, Salis said he had just republished an updated edition of his epic book titled: “Equitocracy – Diversity Based Democracy”

The innovative work introduces a revolutionary framework for an all-inclusive governance, designed to address persistent issues of political marginalisation, rivalry and religious tensions.

In the book, Salis offers a fresh political model that seeks to eliminate systemic vices such as domination,election-rigging and political violence, while emphasizing the democratic values of proportional representation and equitable participation from all states and ethnic groups just as it ensures fair opportunities for leadership across diverse geo-political zones.

According to Salis, this bold and imaginative vision of region-based governance effectively addresses the complexities of religious and ethnic diversities, fostering co-operation over competition. With empirical examples, Salis offers practical insight into creating a new political landscape that empowers citizens to restore trust in leadership and eradicates toxic practices undermining the beauty of democracy.
