The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig-Gen Yusha’u Ahmed, on Tuesday, said his leadership is doing a lot to reposition the scheme for better performance in the delivery of its mandate to promote national unity, cohesion and integration.

The DG spoke in Kaduna at the opening ceremony of the 2023 Batch ‘B’ pre-orientation workshop with the theme “Repositioning the NYSC Orientation Course in the Post-Golden Jubilee Era for Effective National Service”.

Pre- orientation course workshop is a forum where key officials of the scheme and its partner agencies converge to review the conduct of previous orientation courses with the view to mapping out strategies for improved performance in subsequent ones.

According to the DG, the workshop is expected to come up with far-reaching resolutions, especially concerning the issue of policy guidelines for the smooth conduct of the exercise.
