Senator Ned Nwoko, from Delta North Senatorial District, has brought over N30 billion in federal projects to Delta State. These efforts tie into President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. They aim to improve water systems and help farmers in the area.

Michael Ogah, Nwoko’s media consultant, shared this in a statement on Wednesday. He told journalists the projects work through the Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority. They focus on clean water access and irrigation for Delta North farmers.

One key project is the Ogbashu Dam in Aniocha South Local Government Area. It includes treatment plants and water reticulation, costing over N7.5 billion each. These will boost water supply for homes and farms.

Nwoko also secured the Idumuje Dam in Aniocha North’s Idumuje clan. Valued at N7.5 billion, it will improve water for local communities and farming. Plus, he’s funding irrigation along the Delta North river belt, like Olodu, with another N7.5 billion. This will help farmers grow food all year for local use and export.

Farmers will also get high-quality seedlings, fertilisers, and modern tools to raise output and sustainability.

“This is one of the major landmark interventions Senator Ned Nwoko is bringing to Delta State. These projects wouldn’t have been possible without his strong relationship with the presidency and collaboration with key figures in the National Assembly,” the statement said.

These projects promise big changes for Delta North. They aim to lift livelihoods, ensure food security, and grow the economy.
