Nwokedi’s reappointment in Imo excites youths, others

The reappointment of Hon. Stanford Arinze Nwokedi as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Gov. Hope Uzodimma on Public Enlightenment is eliciting excitement among youths and other stakeholders in the state.

Many believe that Nwokedi’s reappointment into the Expanded Executive Council of the Imo State Government of Shared Prosperity is well-thought-out and well deserved because of his sterling performance.

A youth leader in Ngor Okpala, Danny Amauwa, described Nwokedi as a positive influence on young people in Imo State and beyond. He said: “Nwokedi is an asset in every material particular. He is well groomed and it shows in his conduct. He is a critical thinker and master strategist.

“Nwokedi is a team player and great mobiliser. Above all, he is loyal; in fact, his loyalty is impeccable. He executes assigned duties with pleasure.”

Former media adviser to Imozurukwuo, a socio-political organization, Chief Eddie Uneke, said: “Nwokedi is a man in whom many are well pleased because of the way he conducts himself. He is respectful, responsible, a hardworking gentleman and diligent. His reappointment by Uzodimma is highly commendable.”

Similarly, Madam Oluchi Anyanwu said that Nwokedi will add value to the space of development in Imo State. “Nwokedi is a good man. I knew him when he was a teacher and he did his work very well,” she said.

Meanwhile, Nwokedi has expressed his gratitude to Gov. Uzodimma and those who made it possible for his reappointment. He promised to serve to the best of his ability.

He said: “It is another privilege to serve my state, Imo, and our people, Imolites. I wholeheartedly accept, with thanks to God, to avail my talent, my resources and my time in this service, once more.

“With gratitude in my heart, I seize this opportunity to thank my principal – Gov. Hope Uzodimma, for, once again, reposing this much confidence in me to continue to serve Imo State in my capacity as a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Enlightenment. I do not take this privilege for granted.

“To my lifelong mentor and benevolent benefactor – the Chief of Staff, Government House Owerri, Sir Nnamdi Richard Anyaehie  (Ezeumuokorobia), I say the obvious: I am eternally grateful to you and indeed to your family, for being godsent to me and my family. Yes, you are my anchor and dependable leader.

“I join the league of other capable team members that have been assembled into the 3R Government of Shared Prosperity family to continue from where we left off in January 2024, to project, promote and defend our 3R Government in truth, sincerity and patriotism.”

He commended Uzodimma for his deliberate transparency, visionary leadership and unprecedented accomplishments, adding: “My job will be to build bridges of understanding and to shunt any gap between the government and the people. Imo people shall continue to be enlightened and in real-time, be aware of the government’s intentions, achievements and policy directions, so that we all shall constructively synergize and give the government the needed support in its efforts to achieve the noble goals set before it.

“I warmly welcome my first constituency – journalists / gentlemen of the press/ members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm. This is our job together. My office is your own. Let us hit the ground running. May Imo State continue to record developments in sustainable ways.”
