National Universities Commission (NUC) has commenced accreditation process of two academic programmes, Radiography and Optometry, for Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State.

Spokesman of the university, Daburi Misal, in a statement, on Wednesday, noted that the accreditation teams, consisting of Professors in the listed fields arrived the school campus on Monday, and were received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. William Qurix.

He said the Vice-Chancellor, while receiving the NUC accreditation teams stated that Bingham University is fast becoming a world-class University with well-groomed students and staff.

The VC boasted that the University has one of the best laboratories in this part of the world (Zankli Research Center) which, he said, has brought a lot of collaborations to the University.

He assured the team of the university’s support and cooperation towards a smooth accreditation exercise.

The NUC team lead, Mrs. Justina Emerole, appreciated the Vice-Chancellor and Management for the warm reception, stating that the exercise was a peer review meant to improve the university to ensure it produces the best graduates.

She stated that the NUC accreditation team are expected to carry out their assignment and at the end, have an exit briefing with the Vice-Chancellor.
