• VC attributes success to Uzodimma

Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU) in Imo State has secured full accreditation for its B.Sc. Architecture and B.Sc. Mathematics programmes in the 2024 October/November accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Ikechukwu Dozie, who disclosed this to newsmen in a statement noted that the latest accreditation brings the total number of fully accredited programmes at the university to seventeen .

Meanwhile, the VC has attributed the success recorded in the school to the support provided by the State governor , Hope Uzodimma .

Dozie, also expressed gratitude to the university staff and students who he said had made it possible.

He highlighted the Governor’s generous contributions during the accreditation preparations, which he noted were instrumental in securing the new programmes .

“The university is preparing to present four additional programmes for the 2025 October/November accreditation exercise: B.Sc. Marketing, B.Sc. Entrepreneurship, B.Sc. Industrial Relations & Personnel Management, and B.A. Philosophy. This forward-thinking approach will enable the university to meet the evolving needs of students and industries,” Dozie said.
