The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, yesterday, handed over 59 kidnapped victims to the government of the State.
The victims, mostly women and children, were rescued in different forest along Abuja-Kaduna highway, precisely, Rijana area of the State by the joint security forces from the military and intelligence agencies and coordinated by Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
The victims were handed over to the governor Uba Sani, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Sani Liman Kila, at a brief ceremony in Abuja.
Giving the breakdown of the victims, Ribadu, said the victims comprised of 28 females, 24 males, six children while one person was reportedly hospitalized.
The NSA added that the Federal Governments was working round the clock to ensure that other victims of kidnappers who were still in captivity are released.
“Well, once again we are here as a joint operations of all the security forces under the directives of Mr. President to work extra mile to ensure that we bring peace, security and restore normalcy in our country”.
