Renowned activist, Comrade Ikenna Azomchine, has debunked the claim that the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, is not known or loved in the northern part of Nigeria.

Contrary to the opinion in the build-up to the 2023 general elections, Ikenna stated that during one of his trips to Baga, a community in Borno State, residents expressed their familiarity with Obi and their willingness to vote for him if he could provide food for them after his victory.

Ikenna, affectionately known as the ‘EU Obedient General,’ made these remarks on Sunday during the grand anniversary of the 2023 presidential election.

Addressing the event, Ikenna said Nigeria was proud to have supported and voted for Obi in the last election and would do so again without hesitation.

He shared, “We began this journey from the European Union to Jos, Yola, Jigawa, Kastina. I am an Igbo man, but I see myself as Arewa.

“I visited a remote part of Borno State (Baga) before the 2023 election to ascertain if Peter Obi was known and loved.
