Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, has released a video revealing that his earlier statement of separation from his wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia was indeed genuine and not the result of a hacked Instagram account.
The drama began on Sunday when a statement was posted on 2Face’s Instagram account, revealing that he and Annie had been separated for a while and had filed for divorce.
The statement reads in part: “I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce… I would grant a press release soon to say my story.”
However, minutes later, the statement was deleted, and a new post surfaced, claiming that 2Face’s account had been hacked.
The post said: “My Instagram account has been hacked, efforts are being carried out to take back control #onelove!”
But, in a recent video, 2Face clarified that he was the one who made the initial declaration.
In his usual calm tone, he said: “No body hacked my account, na me talk wetin I won talk” (“Nobody hacked my account, I said what I said”).
The video sparked a flurry of comments, with many fans expressing shock, disappointment, and even outrage.
Some have gone to Annie’s rescue, complimenting her for sticking by 2Face despite his previous infidelities and sympathizing with her present plight.
