No man can satisfy my sexual urge –Doris Anyanwu

By Rita Okoye, Lagos

Nollywood actress and serial entrepreneur Doris Anyanwu is beautiful and talented. But despite her skills and endowment, the actress said she’s yet to enjoy full sexual satisfaction from any man.

In this interview with Saturday Sun, the Imo State-born Thespian takes us through her pains, business challenges and dealing with life as a plus-size lady.
Enjoy!

What has been happening to Doris Anyanwu? Did you go off the radar?

Sis, I lost my mum and everything changed. Life happened to me and I’m just trying to pick my pieces. I gave up on everything. Nothing made sense to me anymore.

What do you miss about her?

She was my confidant. I told her everything. If I’m confused I run to her. She has genuine advice for me. My mother was kind, loving and open-minded.

How have you been coping without her?

I had no choice but to cope for the sake of my only sister. It was a hard one for me but God has been faithful. She’s now resting with God and the angels, free from pain and wickedness.

So, what new projects are you working on?

Honestly, everything has been on hold since early last year because of my mum’s ill health and death. However, I have continued with my exportation of packaged foodstuffs, frozen snails and seafood then I also ventured into Tigernut and Zobo drink production (Food and Chops by Doris) which I’ve been trying to push into the market.

Is it safe to say you are off the entertainment sector for now?

Not 100%. I also started shooting comedy skits and will be back on track soon by God’s grace.

What have you missed about that aspect of your life?

I miss being on the screen. I miss the controversies. I miss being me because Doris is all about entertainment and fun. I miss making my fans smile and laugh out loud. I miss the fame that comes with it. I miss everything about it.

Are there certain people you look forward to working with?

Yes. Most of them have tried to reach out to me and have shown their concern and support, especially comedians like Aloma Isaac, Sabinus, Woman Leader (Sir One) and Mama Uka.

What’s your relationship status?

Complicated! Possibly, a ‘situationship.’
If he’s not a mad, wild, passionate lover, then it is a total waste of time and I don’t want to be part of it. Nobody’s son should complicate and stress my life in the name of love or relationship. I better face my business and make money. Money makes me wet and gives me orgasms.

Are you saying no one has ever satisfied your sexual urge?

No one for now; men wahala is just too much.

Aside from passionate sex, what are those other features you want from your man?

I want a kind, caring and understanding man that is open-minded and free-spirited. He must be patient; not a man who nags and yells at every little thing; a man who corrects me with love.

As an entrepreneur, what are some of the challenges you face? And how did you conquer them?

My major challenge is the power supply and also the high cost of fuel to power the generator to run my tiger nut drink production. Another major challenge is the high cost of machines for tiger nut drink production. I’ve not been able to conquer it. I am still battling with the high cost of production and delays in supplies. I’m not meeting the demands of my clients because I’ve not acquired the machines needed for swift production. I sell the best healthy, creamy and nutritious tiger nut drink in Port Harcourt but a lot still needs to be put in place for smooth and efficient production to meet the demands of clients.

Was there a time you had regretted being a plus size?

Never! I’ve never regretted being a plus-size woman. I am a gorgeous, beautiful, intelligent, and super-confident woman. I’ve got lots of admirers both men and women.

What are some of the disadvantages of plus size that you have encountered?

People calling you Orobo to your face; body shaming from friends and even family. They tag you as unhealthy because you’re fat. Some also believe getting married will be difficult and if you get married, you might have difficulties having children. Some men feel you should settle for anything because you’re fat. Finding good clothes to wear is also a problem and when you find them they are quite expensive.

They say plus-size women are not easily satisfied in bed, how true?

Well, I think the men should be in a better position to respond to this. Trust me, sex feels better with a plus-size woman. It takes a strong man, you know what I mean. A man who knows the right sex positions to pleasure a plus-size woman and take her to cloud 9. If you can’t satisfy a plus-size woman then you don’t know your job. Channel your energy to a lepa joo.

What would you advise young plus-size ladies out there?

They should embrace their uniqueness, and focus on their strengths, talents and passions. They should practice self-love and self-care and also know they are worthy of love and respect regardless of their size. Don’t let society’s beauty standards define your worth because you’re so much more than your physical appearance. Find role models and communities that uplift and inspire you. Take good care of your physical and mental health, you are strong and capable. Rock your confidence and own your beauty. Always remember your worth and beauty come from within. Above all, you’re enough, just as you are!
