The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has assured that its systems for National Identification Number (NIN) services are operating efficiently ahead of the NIN-SIM linkage deadline.
NIMC said services including NIN enrolment, verification, authentication, and data modification are running smoothly to accommodate the approaching deadline.
In a statement by its Spokesperson, Kayode Adegoke, the Commission noted that all of its over 10,000 enrolment centres, both nationwide and abroad, are fully operational.
It advised Nigerians and legal residents to visit any of the centres to complete their NIN enrolment before the 14th September 2024 deadline for linking NIN with SIM cards.
“NIMC also wishes to inform Nigerians and legal residents that any applicant who wants to modify his or her NIN data can do so through the NIMC Self-Service portal – self-servicemodification.nimc.gov.ng (Terms and conditions apply),” the statement added.
It added that NIN Holders and applicants can make enquiries on NIN enrolment centres, processes and procedures for NIN Data modifications, NIN Verification issues and any other enquiries, via the NIMC website.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to Zero tolerance for all forms of extortion and unethical practices, stressing that NIN enrolment is free.
