•Encomiums as serial entrepreneur, philanthropist launches foundation in Enugu
From Jude Chinedu, Enugu
The serene city of Enugu came alive with glamour and heartfelt celebrations as Juliet Edeh, the founder and chief executive officer Bezaleel Continental Trading Limited and a quintessential philanthropist, officially launched the Bezaleel Foundation on November 23.

The event, which also coincided with her birthday, and the seventh anniversary of Bezaleel Continental Trading Ltd, was a heartwarming affair that drew an array of dignitaries, traditional rulers, business leaders and celebrities.
Edeh, whose philanthropic efforts have quietly impacted many lives, described the launch as a personal and meaningful milestone.
She said, “I feel excited. It is a dream come true for me. The most important part for me is the charity aspect of the foundation. This is what I love doing, helping people.
“Over the years, I’ve been quietly supporting my community. We’ve mounted streetlights in two places, cared for children and the elderly, and provided for those in need. Now, with the Bezaleel Foundation, I can do even more.”
She went on to outline the foundation’s ambitious goals, which include establishing medical centres, building schools, and offering training opportunities for young footballers abroad.
The foundation will also focus on supporting children with kidney-related illnesses, taking them abroad for critical surgeries.
“I started this because I understand the importance of giving. Bezaleel is about touching the lives of youths, children and the elderly. We’re not limiting ourselves; we are here to help anyone in need,” she added.
One of the highlights of the evening was the outpouring of support and praise from those who knew Juliet and have witnessed her selfless efforts over the years.
Veteran actress Rita Edochie, who bagged an award of Excellence in Nollywood at the event, expressed joy that her efforts were recognized by someone she shared a daughter-mother bond with.
“I feel so happy and grateful to God, especially because this is coming from my daughter. Juliet has always called me her mother, even when her biological mother was alive.
“She has a heart for charity and goes out of her way to find people who need help. I’ve seen her take children off the streets and support families in remote villages.
“Now, with this foundation, she can do even more. By God’s grace, funding will not be an issue because people will keep supporting her,” she said.
Traditional rulers and business associates also showered Juliet with praises, commending her dedication and hard work.
The traditional ruler of Mburumbu Kingdom, Igwe Jerry Onuokaibe, praised her alignment with Governor Peter Mbah’s vision for Enugu State.
He said: “This is a great event, and Juliet is a hardworking lady who genuinely wants to help the less privileged. Governor Mbah is transforming the state, and it’s inspiring to see someone like Juliet key into that vision.
“Her foundation is for the betterment of our people, and I call on others to support her dreams.”
A close friend and business partner, Chukwuka Patrick, described Juliet as a trustworthy individual whose dedication to both business and philanthropy is exemplary.
“She’s a very good friend and a reliable business partner. Juliet is a world-class brand. We will continue to support her in everything she does.
“I also encourage Ndigbo to follow her example by investing back home. We can achieve so much if we channel our resources into our communities,” he said.
On his part, the founder and general overseer of Resurrection Force Ministries, Bishop Ugo Wems, noted that the Bezaleel Foundation was an exceptional project and a testament to Juliet’s vision and unwavering resolve to make a positive impact globally.
“We see the seeds of profound change and societal betterment that will surely grow from this foundation. I wish her a truly joyous birthday. Each year brings with it a fresh chapter full of potential and opportunities.
“I hope the coming year offers her more wisdom, prosperity and happiness in all her endeavors. We will continue to support and associate with her,” he said.
The evening was not just a celebration of Juliet’s achievements but also a rallying call for collective action to uplift society’s most vulnerable.
Guests, while thrilled by old-school music from AB Cowboy, generously offered support for the foundation’s work so that it can expand its reach.
For Juliet, the Bezaleel Foundation is more than just a philanthropic initiative, it is the fulfillment of a lifelong passion for giving back to society.
As the evening drew to a close, the consensus among attendees was that her work would leave a lasting legacy in Igboland and beyond.
Juliet and a host of the guests wowed with their glam attire, glowing and twinkling like stars in the exquisitely decorated hall.
Someone remarked: “Memories are made of the day; it won’t be forgotten in a hurry. Juliet showed that she is a reputable event manager.”
