From humble beginnings to the global stage, Oluwaseun “Diamond” Alabi embodies the Nigerian spirit of resilience as he proudly represents the nation at the Man of the World competition in the Philippines.

Crowned Mr. Ideal Nigeria 2nd runner-up, Diamond’s journey has been one of courage and determination. Born into a polygamous home, his early life was marked by both promise and hardship. After finishing secondary school in 2012 and graduating from the College of Education, Lokoja, in 2016, his dreams of further studies were cut short when his father refused support after leaving his mother.

With his mother raising four children alone, Diamond stepped up, working as a bricklayer, carpenter, and farmhand at just 20, to help provide for the family. Despite the challenges, he never lost hope. In 2018, with little more than faith and a phone from his mother, he moved to Akure. He worked in a factory, earning ₦12,000 monthly, before leaving to pursue better opportunities.
