The talented afro singer was born on August 20th, 1989. Currently, he is 33 years old (as of 2022). His birthplace is Lagos State, Nigeria, and this is where his journey to success and fame started.
His full name is OLUWASEUN OLAEGBE . He was born in Lagos State, but his state of origin is Osun State.
Despite the fact that their family was not the richest, his parents always reserved enough money for their children’s education and upbringing and for buying necessary things for them. The singer refers to his parents as unique because of their resilient to give them the best.
The singer received his basic primary and secondary education in Lagos, at the Lagos state model College, Igbonla, Epe. He then obtained his WAEC Certificate in 2006. Then, He went on to study at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Oyo state, where He received a Barchelor Of Technology degree in Computer Science in 2014. He did his internship training at NIIT Ajah Center where he learnt Java Programming. OLUWASEUN is a Google Trained Digital Marketing Specialist and a Harvard Trained computer programmer.
Aside music, he has worked as a Web designer and Digital Media for brands like Crepaway Nigeria, Ponmojebu USA, Mariebabs, Blackandscot UK, Ojudeoba. He worked as Media Consultant for Aniitablonde, Andrew Lucky Enwere, Dekunle Okunrinboye and many more. After his university graduation, he worked with BAK-Eldorado Realtors and Evolved Mind before he then established his Digital Agency in 2018 called Skilzar Digital.

Since a young age, OLUWASEUN has been in love with music; as a baby, he used to beat rhythms on the tray in his highchair, and he would jiggle when his family played music; he wanted to grow up to become a musician.
OLUWASEUN father was a fan of traditional blues, and he used to play him the cassettes of traditional blues and other songs like Howlin’ Wolf, king Sunny Ade, Shina Peters, Muddy Waters, and Raw Blues; and these became his favourites; at the time, he was 3.
At 5, he was already representing his school in music presentation and performances at school graduation parties and the likes. His parents enrolled him into a music class in his school where he learnt music notes.
At 7, his parents observed his passion for music, and bought him a flute so, he started learning.
OLUWASEUN cousin introduced him to afrobeats and pop as he introduced him to pop stations; at the time, he was in first grade, and started listening to mainstream afro pop.
He grew up listening to the music of Bob Marley, Micheal Jackson, 2 Pac , Fela, King Sony Ade, Wyclef Jean, Usher Raymond, Frank Ocean, and more.
At the age 7 to 15, he always wanted to be a singer; so, in his fifth grade, he started playing the drums in school social gatherings and assembly.
He loved playing the drums; in high school, he stopped playing flutes to focus on the drums.
At 12, in sixth grade, OLUWASEUN also started writing rhymes and afro pop.
At that time, he used to freestyle at his school along with his friends.
As at the time, OLUWASEUN would spend hours at the house to watch music shows and videos on TV; at the time, Micheal Jackson was his music idol.
After watching Afrobeat and Pop artists on TV, he observed that unlike a rock show which requires sets, drummers, pyrotechnics, etc., Afro artist just need improvisation, use of brain and story telling; and this attracted him towards Afro pop music.
At 12 he enrolled for music class in school, took music lessons; here, he was influenced by his music teacher, who taught the class music in a fun way.
All through middle school and high school, OLUWASEUN, along with his friends formed a group, and he used to sing on the record, and his friends used to do beats, and rap.
In college Oluwaseun Joined a music group TLP Group At the time, they used to write records; they started doing shows and ministrations in university campus by renting venues and throwing shows; these made them popular in college.
Even though OLUWASEUN sing for many years, he wasn’t confident enough to film himself and share on the internet.
While studying at the university, he became close friend with Shoba King who has a music studio and a record label, who went on to become his producer; Shoba King knew OLUWASEUN freestyling talent from college.
At the end of 2011, Shoba has set up his studio and he wanted to promote his craft in a creative way; so, he approached him to sing and do freestyles.
So, OLUWASEUN got into the studio, and started composing songs while Shoba King recorded his freestyles. Oluwaseun uploaded these freestyles one of them titled ‘Dance For Me’ onto his Soundcloud and YouTube channel.
The song actually thread to over 10,000 streams and his recent song Novacane which went viral and attracted over 1Million Plays on social media and recorded close to 400,000 streams online, this singular acts made OLUWASEUN OLAEGBE also known as Skilzar popular.
The singer’s catchy afro pop tunes first gained prominence with his single title Dance For Me in 2012 , Mercy in 2013 featuring Gt Da Guitarman and to this day, people consider him one of Nigeria’s afro music geniuses. OLUWASEUN can do everything with his music – he has a unique and recognizable voice and he can even create a few rythm by combining modern and traditional beats. He has released some songs in the Yoruba language to the tunes of afro pop, Ragae, blues, and hip-hop styles.
He has written a massive number of songs for notable artist and soundtracks for various movie productions in Nollywood – in total, there are over 200 soundtracks where he is credited as a composer. He wrote the hook and featured in X Caution by Xcess and Sugarboy (A1)
