From Emmanuel Uzor, Awka

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has vowed to deploy every mechanism to defeat the current festering insecurity across the country especially insurgency, stressing his administration’s resolve to tackle economic challenges.

He made the statement during his one day working visit to Anambra State where he officially commissioned the iconic Light Tower built by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

President Tinubu said the Iconic Light of the Nation Tower is a significant tourism and beautification project designed to enhance Anambra State’s aesthetic appeal, boost tourism, and
create a distinctive landmark that symbolises the state’s progress and identity.

He commended governor Soludo for taking bold step in developing all sectors of state economy and expressed absolute confidence that the nation would come out of its current economic challenges through robust economic planning.

“As your president, I am pleased to assure you that the nation’s state is strong and getting stronger by the day under our Renewed Hope Agenda. We met near-insolvent public finance, a decades-old monster of unsustainable multiple subsidies, a chaotic and debilitating forex regime, etc. Like we tamed the Atlantic in Lagos, many of these monsters have been tackled: petroleum and forex subsidies have been tamed; macroeconomic stability has returned within predictable bounds; tax reforms are on the way, etc.

“I have just commissioned two landmark projects—the Solution Fun City and the Government House mini-city as part of the initial steps towards your audacious vision of Anambra as African-Dubai-Taiwan-Silicon Valley (ADTS). Together with the massive infrastructural transformation and human capital development, these are bold statements of vision and what leadership can achieve in such a short time.
