Former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism and Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Niger state, Hon. Jonathan Vatsa has commended the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the recent appointment of service Chiefs which he said reflected the six geo-political zones of the country.

Hon. Vatsa believed that by this appointment of the service, the President did not only reduced ethnic tension in the country, he is beginning to heal the wound of injustice and nepotism that former President Buhari inflicted on Nigerians in the last eight years.

The former publicity secretary of the APC in the state who spoke to newsmen in Minna on Friday shortly after paying a visit to orphanage homes where he donated food and other items to the homes as part of activities to mark his 61st birthday, pointed out that President Tinubu needs to be commended for the steps so far taken to rewrite the many wrongs of Buhari administration.

Vatsa who expressed disappointment over what he called “endemic corruption” under Buhari that called himself Mr. Integrity, stated that the ongoing discoveries of looting that took place in the last eight years shows that the only achievement of Buhari administration was institutionalization of injustice, nepotism and high level corruption.

According to him, “Buhari’s politics of ethnicity, religion and nepotism was largely responsible to tension and high level of insecurity in the country in the last eight years, but thank God President Tinubu is beginning to heal this wound.

“The President has started well, especially with the appointment made so far which to me has given very geo-political zone of this country a sense of belonging. Every zone is captured and this will go a long way to douse tension in the country”.
