A Non Governmental Organization (NGO), Enyioma Foundation International (EFI), has said it was going to spend over N45m on charity this year for over 4,000 Abians.

The founder of the Foundation, Dr Enyioma Duke Atulomah, disclosed this in Umuahia while speaking with newsman on what will be EFI’s activities for the year.

He revealed that the main thrust of the organization in 2024 was to impact on the lives of widows, elderly women, youths and out of school children.

Atulomah said was borne out of the desire to put smile on faces of indigent Nigerians resident in Abia not minding their state of orgin.

He said, “I’m an Abian and a Nigerian. My target is people who live around where the foundation is cited, whether Yoruba, Igbo, or Hausa. There’s no politics to reaching out to people who are in need. I want to reach people who are not on Facebook.”

The Umuahia, Abia-born career diplomat revealed it was his father’s philanthropist gesture in the past that inspired him into what he was doing.

The career diplomat insisted that what the foundation was doing has no political under tone, adding that the funding of project was solely from his private pocket.

He however informed that Foundation was open for partnership with any individual and organization who are willing, but without any selfish interests.

“At the moment, the Enyioma Foundation is on its own. We don’t have partners yet but we are willing to partner with any individual and organization who are willing without any selfish reasons.

“What we do is reach out to the vulnerable in the society. We have kids who are unable to go to school, mothers in need who may be based in the villages, patients unable to offset their hospital bills, and also people who have business ideas but have no funds.

“We have managed to set up two people. I’ve been doing this and this foundation was founded in July 2021. The essence of establishing the foundation’s office is to reach out to those who are unable to reach us out on Facebook.

Atulomah was optimistic that the foundation will be sustained through God’s divine provisions to reach out to more people in the coming years.
