A new Bishop has been ordained for the Catholic Diocese of Warri, Delta State.
He is Most Rev. Anthony Ewherido, 5th in the order of bishops that have been installed in Warri Diocese.
Ewherido, 62, succeeded Most Rev. John Okeoghene Afareha, who retired last year at the age of 75.
He was ordained and installed as Bishop at a episcopal ordination and installation held at the Holy Martyr of Uganda Minor Seminary, Effurun, Delta State.
The ceremony was attended by crème de la crème of the society including Delta State governor, Senator, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, represented by his Chief of Staff, Ovie Agas; Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege and immediate past governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
