The Nigerian Capital Market Institute (NCMI), the training arm of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), has launched its 2025 training calendar, introducing innovative learning opportunities to strengthen the capital market.
Speaking in Abuja at the weekend, the Managing Director of NCMI, Tunde Kamali, described the calendar as a major milestone in professional development and lifelong learning for capital market operators. He emphasised that the new training programmes were tailored to enhance skill acquisition and adaptability.
“Designed with a fresh perspective, the new calendar emphasises flexibility, inclusivity, and skill-focused learning. It will feature hands-on training sessions, and e-learning modules tailored to meet the diverse needs of participants,” Kamali stated.
The calendar, he explained, covers all aspects of the capital market while including general interest-focused modules as bonus offerings for participants.
Kamali acknowledged the collaborative efforts that shaped the calendar’s development, involving market operators, trade groups, academia, and the SEC board, led by its Chair and SEC Director General, Dr. Emomotimi Agama.
“This training calendar is a testament to the commitment of the Commission to foster growth and innovation by equipping all stakeholders with the right knowledge. We aim to build a stronger, more capable workforce ready for future emerging capital market innovations,” he added.
He reiterated that the initiative aligns with the SEC’s broader vision to enhance market development and investor education, further solidifying NCMI’s position as a leader in professional development within the capital market.
