The Executive Chairman, Nigerian Capital Development Fund (NCDF), Hareter Oralusi, has expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, highlighting the promising prospects for improved living standards in the coming year. Speaking with a vision grounded in strategic initiatives and unwavering commitment, Oralusi emphasised that 2025 holds the potential to address critical challenges, foster economic growth and uplift the quality of life for millions of Nigerians.
Speaking at the organisation’s end-of-year celebration in Lagos yesterday, Oralusi highlighted the groundwork laid by the federal government in 2024, which he believes will yield positive outcomes by the second quarter of 2025.
“The federal government has created a strong sustainable template that will positively impact the lives of citizens,” Oralusi stated. “If efforts are intensified in early 2025, we can expect significant progress to materialize in the second quarter.”
Oralusi outlined NCDF’s strategic focus for 2025, emphasizing key sectors such as: Renewable Energy, Affordable Housing, Financial Inclusion and Support for Startups.
He also announced plans for NCDF’s subsidiaries, NCDF Investment Management Plc and Konto Financial Group Plc, to enter the capital market this year, a move expected to bolster the organization’s capacity to drive impactful initiatives.
Reflecting on his commitment to Nigeria’s development, Oralusi shared, “I am deeply passionate about the progress of our great country and ensuring a better quality of life for everyone, particularly children and youth.” He called on all stakeholders—private, public, and social—to join hands with President Tinubu in achieving rapid developmental goals.
“This is not the time for politics,” he emphasized. “The masses are enduring significant challenges. We must set aside personal ambitions and collaborate for the greater good. The government has demonstrated good intentions and is ready to make impactful changes, but they cannot do it alone.
Multi-stakeholder collaboration is critical to moving Nigeria forward.”
Oralusi’s remarks resonate with NCDF’s mission of fostering sustainable development and creating opportunities that uplift communities. With a renewed focus on innovation and collaboration, NCDF is poised to make 2025 a transformative year for Nigeria.
